JOB PROFILE
- Responsible for sourcing and procurement of export requirements.
- Study the supplier capability in the target countries and ensure a strong supplier pool is ready to work on any requirements: local and overseas.
- Periodic updates of buyer development progress to be presented to the management.
- Ensure the samples and prices are prepared within agreed timelines and required quality.
- Work with front end business development team to identify new markets/business for exports and develop the required backend to support such requirements
- Ensure buyer specifications& target prices are met to the fullest.
- Visit factory as and when necessary.
- Carry out analysis of competing global suppliers.
- Developing time and action plan for order deliveries and ensuring the timelines are met.
- Ensure specific compliance requirements of buyers are met by the suppliers.
- Work on new product development.
- Preparation trade shows (samples, design, et...)
- Attend buyer and related trainings.
- Traveling as needed- locally and overseas
- Executing each stage of the business cycle with meticulous focus; researching, capturing requirements, co-ordinate sampling & CBD process, price negotiations, support export activities, support shipment processes.
- Ensuring annual budgets are met.
- Availability of mobile working
- Ability& availability to function at different time zones as needed.
- Work with business development team on business development related requirements.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Degree or equal education in the related field.
- A masters level education will be an added advantage.
- years' experience in similar role. Ideally working with; umbrella components, fabric and accessories.
- Also liaised directly with Western buyers and Chinese suppliers.
